Day 15: Aqua Sulis: The Roman Baths

Exhausting day but very rewarding. We took a bus to London Victoria Coach Station by 5:45 a.m.  No time for breakfast at all. Took a coach to Bath, it took us three hours to get there. The coach was very comfortable and I could snooze a bit.
As soon as we got off to the train station at Bath, stopped to get cofee and some bread to stay awake.

It was an amazing experience getting inside the Roman Baths. A true experiential history class! Acqua Sulis is the original name of this town, Roman England remains. There are holograms that help visitors to get an idea what the actual complex may have looked finished. A superb conservation work in my opinion.

After the Roman Baths Tour, we walked towards  The Jane Austen's Center and afterwards took a stroll on Gay Street and the famous "Circus" and "The Royal Crescent" areas, one of the favorite spots where Jane Austen enjoyed strolling whenever she was on her vacation season in Bath.

I liked watching the video how with the help of forensics and primary sources from relatives of Jane Austen they were able to recreate a more accurate version of what Jane Austen may have looked like. Even the outfit seems authentic because it belonged to her.

We then stopped at fancy shops lots of fun things to do here.

Lastly, ended up having our dinner at "Cosy Club" I was starving and had a  yummy classic burger with fries. The place have lots of ambiance.

Took the bus back at 6:00 pm arrived at 9:00 pm. Walked toward the Victoria Underground Station,  took the Victoria Line and got off at Green Park, then took the Jubilee line to Baker Street. Back to the dorm by 10:00 p.m. pooped but happy to make the effort to visit Bath. Will definitely have to come back again.
